Newfoundland and Labrador held its 18th Expression of Interest (EOI) selection round of 2026 on October 16, issuing 126 Invitations to Apply (ITAs). Of these, 125 went to candidates under the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) and 1 through the employer-driven Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP).
The round follows the October 9 draw (131 ITAs) and brings the province’s 2026 total to 2,952 invitations — 2,555 under the NLPNP and 397 through the AIP. The province is now closing in on its combined 2026 allocation.
Newfoundland and Labrador runs its economic immigration through a single Enhanced EOI system covering both the NLPNP and the province’s AIP stream. Candidates submit an EOI profile rather than a full application; the Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism reviews the pool and issues invitations in batches through the year. Only invited candidates may submit a complete application. EOIs that are not selected remain in the pool until they expire or are withdrawn, and the province does not announce round dates in advance. Candidates nominated through the NLPNP Express Entry Skilled Worker category receive an extra 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points.
What this means for candidates: rounds are landing roughly every one to two weeks, and the AIP share remains very small, so NLPNP-linked EOI profiles are doing nearly all the work. If you want to settle in the province, keeping a complete, up-to-date EOI in the pool is the key step.
