The Northeast BC – Peace Liard region’s second 2026 Rural Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP) intake closes on Tuesday, October 20 at 12:00 noon — and late applications will not be accepted.
IRCC granted the region 25 additional allocations for 2026, prompting this second intake, which opened October 13. It is open only to designated employers who have not yet received a recommendation in 2026.
Employers can apply under one of 25 priority NOC codes, or on a discretionary basis in exceptional cases — where the role is highly skilled or specialized, or critical to core community infrastructure or essential services. Applications go through the portal link emailed to each eligible employer’s primary business contact.
Employers whose candidate was unsuccessful in the April intake may apply again with the same or a different candidate, but a complete new application with current signed forms and all supporting documents is required — documents submitted after the deadline cannot be accepted.
With the portal closing Tuesday at noon, designated employers who haven’t applied yet are running out of time.
