Home Child Care Provider and Home Support Worker Pilot

This program is an outstanding opportunity for caregivers to migrate to Canada and earn a direct pathway to Canadian Permanent Residency. This pilot program is aimed at bringing foreign individuals for the roles of caretaker/nanny for children, senior citizens and people with disabilities.

By the end of 2022, the country is looking to approve and welcome as many 2750 applicants in each of the two category.

Individuals can apply for permanent residency status after working as a caregiving for at least two years in Canada with an occupation specific open work permit. Unlike most other immigration programs, candidates will receive occupation-specific work permits for the Caregiver Program.
